EEHA Training – Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area or Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas

Our EEHA Training or Hazardous Area Course (HA Course Ex Courses) is for Electricians who work on Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas; Underground Coal mines / Gas Drainage plants / Food Processing / Timber milling / Petrochemical Industries / Dust Hazardous Industries.

Being a Nationally Accredited Training Organisation our training is accepted through out Australia and all of the training was designed with reference to the Australian Standards. The EEHA competencies covered relate to the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment is hazardous areas. For a full list of the EEHA competencies please look at the EEHA Training tab.

Our Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas (EEHA) package is designed to give the EEHA training students a real advantage when they start work in a Hazardous Area (HA) as our package was designed by our Managing Director Tony McKewin. Tony has an Associate Diploma of Electrical Engineering, is a qualified EEM (Electrical Engineering Manager) and has worked in hazardous areas for 25 years. The training will give a combination of Essential knowledge and Critical skills. The combination of this training and Tony’s experience means we train the best Electricians in Victoria and Australia.

Melbourne Electrical Training also offers an EEHA Refresher for previously trained or experienced electricians. The EEHA is generally refreshed 2 to 5 yearly and the EEHA competencies are the same as the full course.

High Voltage Training

High Voltage trained Electricians are becoming more and more in demand across Australia. The relevant industries are demanding a higher level of safety as well as the requirements for more HV trained personnel from the mining sectors.

Our High Voltage Switching Training (sometimes referred to as HVIA – High Voltage Isolation and Access) is being conducted for industry to improve electrical workers skills or by individuals who wish to improve employment prospects.

Melbourne Electrical Training can complete High Voltage Training on your site or in our High Voltage Training centres in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Mackay (Queensland). Melbourne Electrical Training has developed and delivers the training package to the ASQA Australian Skills Quality Authority and Australian Standards. We supply our training to Melbourne and other regions of Australia. The High Voltage training facilities Include Ring Main Units, Rackable Circuit Breakers, the most up to date High Voltage Safety equipment, arc flash suits, gloves, poles etc. The training is for Electricians or non electricians to be able to understand the principles of HVIA High Voltage Isolation for Access.

Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas

Our Cert Iv in Electrical Instrumentation course upskills an Electrician to be able to work as an Instumentation techician.

Our cert IV gives the student upto date theorey and advanced practical experience using modern instruments (Endress+Hauser, Yokogawa, Redlion and Siemens) , using the most recent Hart 475 Communicator.

Two week intensive practical is one of the best reasons to go with Volt Edge is that the two week intensive practical where the (19) Eighteen Separate practicals can be done in any combination of Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays over a 6 month period.
